While in Florence for the World Wide Web conference in 2015, I noticed little pieces of graffiti spread throughout the city. Florence is a graffiti-laden place, so by itself, this awareness would mean nothing, but I began to see certain similarities among a selection of pieces: many had balloons, semi-brushed stick figures looked about, and often a stylized “k” accompanied the drawings.

As I saw more and more of these beautiful little (and sometimes large) pieces, I started snapping photos of them, a selection of which you can see below.
